I Want To Write A Book By: David Rader II on August 30, 2009 @ 10:43 PM
I want to write a book about my parents - all four of them. My blood parents and my beloved parents who raised me. I want to write about my family who lives with me - my sister, wife, and daughter.
I want to write a book about my friends - both present and past. There's so many things to say about all of them, but I just haven't found where to begin, until now. Now I know I was stuck because I didn't want to write a book about one or a few of the people in my life without writing about all of the people in my life.
This marks the introduction to my family, friends, brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, significant others, and those who while not seeming significant definitely are.
This introduction takes place in a time when wisdom is no longer venerated, where virtue is often considered vice, and where solitude is considered insanity. From what I have seen, this is our world.
My family and friends have been better than I had ever hoped. I suppose I have never thought about what I hoped for in my family and friends, but now that I do, I can't think of a reason why I would hope for anything different. What they are - is perfect.

Perfection comes from being in tune with those around you. It does not come from hard work, nor study. You are the company that you keep. It is a two way street....!!!

It may not come from hard work in the traditional sense, but maintaining good relationships with the company you keep is definitely another form of hard work, perhaps the hardest! I think it's a constant struggle to find balance and fairness- and without it, everyone is hurting in some way or another.

You are one thoughtful young man, we both get crapped on from time to time, but we just keep on giving. We will get our reward someday. And as I think about it we get rewarded everyday. We have love, friends, lovedones and for the most part peace of mind. Always be true to yourself and things will work out, always think for yourself, don't let anyone think for you and you will have a wonderful life.
