Focusing With They Eyes By: David Rader II on March 11, 2008 @ 5:12 AM
I was just thinking of a way that TV and computers may actually be harming our eyes... Or rather make us accidentally harm our own eyes...
In natural settings, when something is blurry or out of focus, we focus our attention on it and our eyes adjust to bring our object of focus into clarity... However when on the computer or on TV and our eyes see something blurry, if they try to focus it is in vain, because the image has no further level of clarity to be seen. So if someone tries looking at something on TV or on the computer which is out of focus their eyes do strain, because they're trying to see what is not there. We must accept the limited levels of clarity for some things... Including pictures as well... and work with (or around?) them how we may...
Ocular focusing may have been a better title for this article... Just wanted to write down the thought whilst present, in case it may be helpful to anyone who experiences eye strain when on the computer or watching TV or someone who's studying the ophthalmology related problem/occurrences.

I got my eyes checked recently and I have this problem: my eyes always focuses best in the middle. So I'm kinda cross-eyed. It's all because of the long hours I spend in front of TV or computer. My glasses is ticker in the middle, sort of like coke bottles.
The cure is obvious: look at something more expanse, like the horizon, park, etc.
