The worst thing Trump did – In an era where the trust of Mainstream Media (MSM / Mass Media) had been dwindling down and rightfully so – for their non-stop lies and refusal to investigate serious issues…
Trump was hated so much, by calling out the media from a partisan front, he actually reinforced trust in it.
As you can see from the data / chart from Gallup, the mainstream media trust had been going down right with their trustworthiness, until Trump jumped in can caused a split.
Thankfully, trust in the mainstream media has begun to decline across the board again. Hopefully Trump doesn’t say it’s fake again, or people might start believing it again.
Why might I say “thankfully” trust is declining in the MSM? Because it’s not trustworthy. This must come to a stop. American’s being deceived by our “fourth branch of government,” the “free press” is detrimental to all of American society, and even more so, the world. We must root out this supposedly “morally justified constant deception of the American people.”
As far as I’m concerned, any enormous organization lying to the American public is a terrorist.

The news media and the government are entwined in a vicious circle of mutual manipulation, mythmaking, and self-interest. Journalists need crises to dramatize news, and government officials need to appear to be responding to crises. Too often, the crises are not really crises but joint fabrications. The two institutions have become so ensnared in a symbiotic web of lies that the news media are unable to tell the public what is true and the government is unable to govern effectively. That is the thesis advanced by Paul H. Weaver, a former political scientist (at Harvard University), journalist (at Fortune magazine), and corporate communications executive (at Ford Motor Company), in his provocative analysis entitled News and the Culture of Lying: How Journalism Really Works.

Not much has changed since 1995, in fact, the “MSM” has only continued in its untrustworthy reporting. The intentionally biased nature of reporting – while not directly lying, only telling one side of a story to persuade, not inform, for example. This is called “lying by omission.” These organizations are not compiled of hundreds of idiots in their upper levels, they know their mission is not to inform the public, but to control the minds of the public through biased persuasion.
I do not blame the American public for their division, I blame the MSM for creating and purporting it. I blame the U.S. education system for teaching people what to think, instead of how to think and discern. Why do they do this? I believe those in the upper echelons of society are happy to divide and conquer to maintain relatively stable power. It’s pretty rare that an outsider upsets things, but even they will go along with the game to some extent. Trump was never going to “Lock her up” or he would’ve been “Epstein’d.”

- Most grossly and most egregiously is the Mainstream Media’s stranglehold on Presidential Debates. The League of Women Voters (LWV), with infinitely more integrity than every MSM organization rightfully declines the “invitation” to host the Presidential Debates as they once did. “On October 2, 1988, the LWV’s 14 trustees voted unanimously to pull out of the debates, and on October 3 they issued a press release condemning the demands of the major candidates’ campaigns. LWV President Nancy Neuman said that the debate format would “perpetrate a fraud on the American voter” [Link]
- Operation Mockingbird – U.S. Govt. reportedly threatened existing journalists, paid off journalists and started propaganda operations within U.S. and foreign media. [Link]
- U.S. Reporter’s new car randomly explodes while driving and the MSM almost completely ignores a potential assassination of a U.S. reporter. They have absolutely no true regard for the life of the free press who don’t toe the line. [Link]

One organization writes the news, uses “friendly faces” across the country (or the entire world) to purport the message and the hapless observer thinks their “local” news anchor is reporting what they believe is right. Often times, it’s propaganda.
I’ve written none of this to denigrate the press, but to shine a purifying light on it. We need it. The American people need and deserve a trustworthy press. It is the education of man after public schooling. Imagine if every teacher intentionally lied to every student “for their own good” and refused to ever tell the truth, no matter what age of maturity they reached. That’s the mainstream media.
