Today my mission was to "shred" or to securely erase data from multiple hard drives. These are old hard drives that I was erasing for safe re-use by another person. Along my journey a-la-cheap (free), I found many options. Many of which were scary. My initial weapon; Windows XP. My foe; old data. (Works for Windows 2000 - Windows 7 too)
After having some of my pain medication stolen from me and some money not paid to me which was lent to a friend, I've come to a realization. I've realized something I can compare people to without making them seem like bad people themselves.
Many people online say FTW, but when I've asked them what it means, it's VERY rare to get the same answer twice in a row.
Here's what I've found so far...
When error message 80040203 shows up when running Windows Media Player 9, 10 Microsoft says they have no information on that error. This error may happen even while running other media players like ALC, Miro Democracy player, or DIVX and the video freezes, but unfortunately, those other media players don't always tell you an enumerator has gone invalid.

Using Windows 7 Professional 64bit, I set up a raid through computer management. It was my first RAID and incredibly easy to setup.
