SO Much Stuff In the Stores!
By: David Rader II on November 08, 2009 @ 11:56 PM

Look at all that STUFF in those stores! No wonder they're going "belly-up!" Who needs this stuff?

Does capitalism breed an inability to relax? Does it create an environment in which a person can not live with simple necessities?

By United States law, you must work or take hand-outs. Simply put, this is because no one actually owns any land, it's all rented from the Government. Lest they take it from you if you don't pay "taxes" (another name for rent in some cases).

If a person actually didn't have to pay rent for their land for eternity, they could relax a little and just farm/store food. They could allow others on their land to do so as well. However, this is not possible, because if people are just farming and storing food- not selling anything, they'll have no money for the government land rent.

I'm not saying the government is bad. If the US government doesn't have money and can't support an Army, there will likely be MANY who would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to "help" us out with an army of their own.

No nation can relax until all nations accept peace. Ironically, nothing infuriates me more than the childishness actions of nations, religious sects, and other groups going to war with each other. Nothing makes me want to fight more just to stop the fighting. I know that my own rage is childish and should be put out like a wildfire. But it is wild.

While some fight for their God and some fight for their national pride, does fighting to stop the fighting sit on any higher grounds?

While the war to end all wars did not end all wars, it seems to have created good bonds for almost all involved. Though we have our disagreements as any family does, Germany is now friends with England, Japan is friends with the USA, Italy is friends with Spain...

Sometimes it seems, when there is a mediator who's goal truly is primarily to end the fighting, then fair and acceptable terms can be found.
