While they rest on our backs, they are still beneath us.

Black and white and pen and paper secure structures while sitting on the backs of human relationships. They are not above those relationships though.

Without those human relationships, the structures have no purpose. If we can make those structures well, the next generation will have a chance to carry new structures.
